Lamb
We lamb two flocks; one at Winter for Spring (milk lamb) and the other in April. “Bonfire night tupping gives April Fools lambs”. We finish our lambs on grass, grazing in the picturesque Polesden Lacey Estate, part of the Surrey Hills. Some lambs are finished as hoggits over Winter fed on stubble turnips.

Had a party for my other half's 60th last night. Have only recently moved to Horsley so went to Conisbees and ordered my 'signature' party piece......a 17lb bone in pork shoulder. Slow cooked for 11 hours.....it was A-MAZING. … More All I did was put a little salt on the skin.
I don't think there was anybody that didn't mention it!

Just the best butchers in Surrey! If not the South East. The highest quality Christmas meats that aren’t significantly more than the supermarket. Wonderful sausages, steaks, chops and prepared chicken. They also do delicious sausage rolls … More and butter along with sauces and stuffings. The staff are genuine people, incredibly friendly and helpful. They can also do bbqs for parties in the summer. The butchers are 8th generation (I think) older than America and long may they continue.

What a find. Took a trip to Conisbee's after having some of their sausages at a restaurant. Had to ask where they were from, they were THE best bangers. So off to Horsley I go, it was quite some way from where I live, but so worth … More it. The range of produce was vast , looked tempting & fresh so gave into temptation. Bought a variety of sausages, and other tasty morsels, all of which were wrapped up individually so I could freeze them. Staff were polite, friendly & funny. I shall certainly be making a return trip.
