About Us

F. Conisbee & Son – a part of history since 1760

Steve and James’ great, great grandfather ‘Frederick C’ took over the recently built butcher’s shop at Park Corner in 1861.  Our shop at Station Parade was purpose-built in 1955.

Just three years later Barracks Farm in Fetcham was purchased comprising 72 acres.  Now, we farm a total of 800 acres in the Bookham and Fetcham area rearing between 350-400 cattle, 600-900 sheep and nearly 4,000 turkeys.

So proud are we, we often enter butchery competitions and have a long list of achievements to our name from the South of England Show and various other trade events.

Since 2007, we have entered the prestigious National Trust Fine Farm Produce competition which highlights the best of British produce.  We are proud of the fact that our entries have won every year, including turkey breast and steak & ale pies and in 2012 we were crowned ‘overall winner’ for our cooked salt beef – a good excuse to try some!
